BİLİM TEKNOLOJİ VE TOPLUM


Insanoğlu bilimin gelişmesiyle birlikte daha müreffeh bir hayat yaşama şansı yakalamıştır. Yeme,barınma, sağlık….vs. şartları iyileşmiş ve insan sadece yaşayan bir varlık olmaktan ziyade üratebilen, düşünebilen bir varlık olmuştur. Kayıt sisteminin gelişmesi de hayatımızı oldukça kolaylaştırmıştır. Bu sayade bilim adamları kendilerinden öncekilerin çalışmalarına ya da istediği herhangi bilgiye rahatlıkla ulaşabilmektedir. Mikrofotgrafi yöntemi olsa 1940’larda, kocaman kütüphanelerin küçücük bir ekrana sığabileceğinden bahsediliyor makalede. Bu bilgiye kolay ulaşılabilirliğin yanı sıra taşınabilirliğini de sağlayacaktır. Ayrıca dünyanın kolaylık ve ucuzluk çağında olduğu belirtiliyor. Geçmişte çeşitli aletler yapılmış ancak çok basit ve ucuz olmadığı için kullanılamamış. O günlerde bilginin çok olması bir problem teşkil ediyor. Bu bilginin hepsi yayınlandığından bir kargaşa oluşuyor ve bilgiyi verimli kullanamıyoruz. Bu nedenle, bilgiyi düzenleyip sınıflandırmak daha verimli kullanabilme fırsatı sunacaktır. Aslında bu problem günümüzde de mevcut. Bilgi gerçekten çok fazla. Bence bu konu üzerine geniş çaplı araştırmalar yapılmalı, yeterli olacak minimum düzeyde bilgi öğrencilere verilmeli fakat araştırma ruhunu da onlara aşılamalı. Böylece herkes istediği, ilgilendiği alanla meşgul olma fırsatı bulabilir ayrıca sevmediği alanlar için zorlanmazsa motivasyonu artar ve kendi alanında daha başarılı olabilir. Yazıda bilinen şeylerden yola çıkılarak, bilinmeyen şeylere gitmek isteği var. Bu isteklerin bir kısmı bugün gerçekleşmiş durumda. Hayal kurmanın sınır yok. Bazı hayallerin gerçekleştiğini görmek bizi umutlandırmalı ve daha çok üretme geliştirme çabasına sevk etmeli. Hatırlarsak eğer, uçağın hayal edilmesi de küçücük bir sinek vasıtasıyla olmuştur. Yineliyorum, öğrencileri bilgi makinası haline getirmek yerine, düşünme yetisi gelişmiş bireyler haline getirebilirsek başarı elde etmiş, yeni buluşlar için kapılar açmış oluruz. Şüphesiz sinekten ilham alarak uçak yapma fikrine ulaşmak, düşünen bir aklın ürünüdür. Diğer yandan, bilimin gelişmesi, fikirlerin de gelişmesini sağladı. Günümüzde insanlar istediği bilgiye anında bilgisayar vasıtasıyla ulaşabiliyor ve insanlar fikirlerini paylaşma, tartışma ve geliştirme fırsatı buluyor. Bu da insanların sürü psikolojisinden çıkıp; araştıran bilgili nesiller haline dönüşmesine ön ayak oluyor. Kısacası bilim ve teknolojinin gelişlmesini insanlığın yararı doğrultusunda kullanabilirsek daha kolay ve daha güzel bir dünyada yaşayabiliriz.

CHAPTER 7

After the industrial revolution, big countries began to fight to get profits all over the world. There were two world war in this century for this reason. While these countsies’ economy was developing, some countries become poor. Their sources were wanted to use by big countries and poor countries were not given permission to use their sources. I think, ıt is not equitable. Some people are very rich and waste too much but many people all over the world are very poor and can not find their needs to be alive. I can not understand the idea, how cantheir conscience be comfort while many babies, people die because of their exploitation. Many people think only their comfort. We have to find a solution to this problem. Everyone have life right and nobody can decide who will live and who not. I think all of the bad behaviours develop from ethical problems. İf everybody lives morally, countries are indispensible to behave morally. If not, people rise against to injustice. We should give our students a good education in terms of moral.

PROJECT
I want to teach secondary school students. My subject is ekology. I think, everyone should know much information about protection of environment. If we do not learn about ekology, we can not protect our life areas and can not live there healthily and safely. I think, there is a strong relationship between ekology and STS issues. After science and technology has began to develop, the natural world began to be affected from their harmful results negatively. Certainly, science and technology should develope but scientists, technologists and everyone have conscious about the environment’s importance for all of people. İf not, maybe after some centuries, there may not be lived in the world. Also, the world is polluted by us, so many kinds of species are exhausted because of their natural life areas’polluteness. Especially, chemical wastes are too harmful for species. Today, these species can not live but ıf we are not careful about the the environment, we may not also live after some centuries. I want to make my students be careful about their environment’s importance. So they want to protect it from all of harmful things and if they are businessman in the future, they will take precautions against pollution for the natural world.
